As everybody knows, it’s been a really hard year for bookings-agencies. It’s starting to getting better but we think it could use a boost… Especially in our home-town of Rotterdam..

Also for Black & White Bookings is been a hard but we’re starting to get back on track again and the future is looking promising… To boost the techno-scene in the Netherlands, Black & White jointed forces with UDC and we’re proud to pronounce that we’ve started working together on the next big techno event in Holland: CONCEPT.

On the 30^th of October techno will finally return to Rotterdam and with a BANG… Ahoy will be transformed in a true techno-heaven, which will provide 10.000 techno-lovers with the very best the scene has to offer and with a line-up that mainly consists of head-liners from all over the globe…

Concept will have 2 area’s, each having their own style. In area 1 the sound blasting out of the speaks with be minimal, tech-house and techno. And for the peeps how like it raw and think back of the days that techno was still techno, we planned the second area with dark-techno, broken-beat and old-school/trible techno. This is a sound we think has to come back to our country and we’ll show you why… !!

This Saturday the second edition of ‘Recoloured’ will be held at Club Poema, Utrecht . On these nights only artists from Black & White Bookings  will spin the decks and for this second edition we booked only the best from the techno-scene. It’s set to be another great event..! Also, we regret to info you that the Poema will be closing this summer. There’s a new owner how is planning to change the club in a restaurant. So this could be one of the last real techno-events in the Poema, a second reason to not miss this event…

And the line-up is really worth liking your fingers. The Spanish guys from ‘Agony Forces’ are flown over to make their debut on Dutch ground. These guys are very skilled in producing and performing the Spanish version of techno: Spanish Off-beat. In Spain they perform with heroes like Oscar Mulero and Christian Wünche and really rising to the top fast…

We wanted to book a golden-oldie and fly Grovskopa over from Sweden, and this was the planning till he got into a accident. He really regret to cancel the gig and we promiss to fly him over as soon as he is better again. We wish him all the best with recovering and hope he’s gets better soon. In his place Spark Taberner will come over to show his new vision on techno. He started to play a couple of BPM slower, but he still knows how to rock the club. With his new style, he’ll be the perfect replacement and a sure deal…!

Also DJ3000 will show his skills again with a 1,5 hour performance of the highest quality. He’s one of Black & White’s newest add to the agency and we’re honored to have such a big name in our agency. After his blasting performances at Awakening and Mental Evolution, he will ones again rock tha house.

To complete the line-up, our own Dutch techno-heroes ‘Paul Boex’ and ‘Oliver Kucera’ will come over to shown everybody what techno really is, and will blast real dark techno/off-beat beats out of the FunktionOne speakers of the Poema. Paul Boex is well-known in the Dutch techno-scene from his own event “Mental Evolution” and his performance on “Awakenings”. With his own style he always knows how to get the audience moving…

We didn’t heard much of Oliver Kucera, but this guy from Amsterdam won’t stop rocking this his dead. And to show everybody he’s still the techno genius we know him from, he’ll close the night with one of his masterpieces. Which will assure that Utrecht won’t forget the Poema…!

Invite is well known for his mixing-skills, but did you know he also started with producing… And to start off, he just released a remix on the legendary Techno-label “Bush Records”. The track in called “This new chair” from Roel Salemink which you can currently buy on Beatport. To give you a preview of the track, check the release on Beatport

“Bush Records” is a well known and respected label, which released many tracks from some of the biggest artists in the techno-scene (like: Carl Cox, Dave Clarke, Joey Beltram, Joseph Capriati, Alan Fitzpatrick)

There is also a second  track released on the Dutch label “Flatlife Records”. Invite remixed a track from Jack Wax, called “Timeline”. The track was released on the 17^th of February and available on Beatport.

Keep posted because he’s on a roll and we’ll be seeing many more release coming up..!!

Invite @ XT3 Radio

In the beginning on January Invite played on his favorite Dutch radio station XT3. This radio station promotes techno-music and keeps the techno spirit on Holland alive. Keeping this in mind, Invite played a massive oldschool techno-set.

Solid Grooves (12-05-2010)

It’s already been 10 year ago that resident-dj Invite started giving events in their own hometown of Utrecht. Solid Grooves is one of Holland’s oldest techno-concepts and to celebrate their 10 year existence their are going to trough a big-ass event on the 12^th of May.

They’re inviting the Dutch techno legend “Speedy J” to come over and play a 4 hour exclusive set for you to enjoy. Quince with start the evening with his techno-tunes and the event will be closed by our very own Invite, which will assure that this will be a night to never forget…!

Paul Boex & Oscar Mulero: “Love is hate EP”

Once again another masterpiece from the Dynamic Reflection squad in your face! This time it’s up to Mr. Dynamic Reflection himself, Paul Boex and his biggest inspiration Oscar Mulero!

Mulero has proved himself over and over again with amazing dancefloor killers, such as some of his recent remixes for Grovskopa and Kike Pravda on his own imprint, Warm Up Recordings. On this he takes the title track “Paul Boex – Hate is Love” for his account, which  resulted in of course….another masterpiece from the Spanish maestro!

The original is a little more reserved by using a beautiful soundscape through the whole track and takes you away on an interesting journey.

Cybersluts is more like an uplifting Detroit influenced track which will work perfectly on the dancefloor. Great work by this young talented rookie, let’s pray for more of this stuff.

With ‘Iron Curtain’ Oscar shows us a different side of Mulero. He’s always developing himself and searching for interesting new things to bring back in his music. With this tune, he nailed it once again….we call it modern techno with one leg in the past. All ‘n all a superior release by this young kid and the Spanish maestro.

Let’s pray for more of this pure quality stuff and keep our eyes on the the future. The scene need more labels like this which reflects the current techno movement and promises loads more of that sweet stuff in days to come…

Dynamic Reflection will represent only the true spirit of pure techno, they will put only the quality stuff back on the dancefloor!

‘Galactic Caravan’ expands his sound even further with a depth of electronic styles that collage to make his most cohesive work to date. In today’s world, the members of a caravan can exist spatially. One member can be situated at their computer, eating breakfast in a European stronghold, while the next may be laying their head down after a hard day’s battle on the west coast of the United States. They walk the same path, headed towards the same destination, yet they are separated by thousands of miles. They may not even recognize each other if they pass on a crowded city street. However, in their head lives the same beat.

Their destination may be Detroit, Paris, Amsterdam or Rome. Its actual position is irrelevant. In situations like these, the adventure lies more within the journey than in the arrival. Once you are there, in the place where you have travelled far to reach, more often than not, you won’t appreciate where you are. Rather, you think about the events that occurred on the recently completed trip. It is the allure of a journey that keeps us going from day to day. A great poet once said that “I am always happy in the place that I am not.” This wanderlust has fuelled generations of people to pursue their dreams, both attainable and wild. It is in this pull that artists find their inspiration. Whether it’s behind the wheel of a car, in the coach of a cross-continental rail car, on the deck in the middle of the ocean, or by foot on a darkened path in the middle of nowhere.

These are the defining moments that influenced DJ 3000 in the production of his latest full length release “Galactic Caravan.” From the uplifting tones of “Meridian”, the broken beat flow of “Hennessey and Me”, and the tender care of “Her Smile”, Galactic Caravan embodies and expresses the forward progression of both Motech Records as a label and DJ 3000 as an artist.

However, this progression does not mean that DJ 3000 has abandoned or even neglected for a second the original principles behind his Motech roots. The ethnic tones and feel of “Flamuri i Populit” show that DJ 3000’s diverse skills as a producer have also spilled over into his ethnically inspired pieces. Those on the dance floor will not feel neglected by an advance in production. “Heritage” featuring Esteban Adame, “Meloudic Landscapes” and “Emotional Sequence” all stick to the Detroit tradition of keeping the crowd in motion.

Pack your belongings, gather your inspiration, and call out to your ancestors who have walked this path before us. The galactic caravan leaves tonight. It will not pause, and its speed will not waver. Because on this journey, music is our language and we all understand and speak in the same tongue.
